Shanghai Village, situated next to Shanghai Disney Resort as part of China's ambitious $5.5 billion master plan, is a high-end fashion retail hub designed with a historic flair. Drawing inspiration from art deco and European villages, the project focuses on luxury and unique character, with over 220 bespoke store facades and thoughtfully designed common areas, including two playgrounds, to enrich the shopping experience. Stantec’s design services included all environmental branding, including the identity, the selection of all exterior building materials and finishes, most of the custom decorative embellishments and metalwork, environmental amenities, special decorative paving, and environmental graphics, including signage and wayfinding.
